That's why the only time I drive anymore is during cattle shipping season.

Don't a lot of northerners also own personal snow plows that they hook up to the front of their trucks to help clear roads?
yes but they of course get paid for it. Some have private contracts with small communities of houses or small businesses.
Most have some machine to clear their driveway too. snow blower along with Mini plows for riding lawnmowers and ATVs are common.
Everyone has salt and lots of it.

I drove the the snow/ice last year (had to work). Was doing 3o mph with no problems on I-77.
The scariest thing to me was the truckers driving past me doing 60+ like the road was dry. Not gonna attempt that with the new ride this year though.

We were physically unable to drive for two days. Trees were down everywhere blocking all of the roads around here. It looked like a warzone.

That's because we see much worse snowy conditions in other areas of the country

I sold 33 500+lb steers last week for my daddy. They averaged 2.10 lb. A few brought as high 2.40.

That's the first time I've ever seen "Ice pellets" used on a forecast. At any rate, stay safe out there.

What I wouldn't give for temps in the 70's.
Everybody hatin' on SC. Friday the 13th proved its point with the Blackshear arrest and the loss to College of Charleston. Now Mother Nature's picking on us, too.
We must not have made our yearly appeasement sacrifices to the Gods or some shite.
