Rank them according to who you would most want your school to give a new 5 year contract to.
1. Bert - He's proven yet young. Builds a program the right way - from the inside out. Optimal philosophy - strong run game and defense.
2. Saban - Best coach of all time, but he has to be wearing down and on about hole 16 right now.
3. Gus - Great offensive mind and he's just getting started. Although I would prefer to not run hurry up, Gus still gets the nod here since he has proven he can execute the hurry up in multiple fashions (strong run game and strong pass game).
4. Pinkel - Consistently takes a team of 3 star talent and wins a lot of games.
5. Mullen - He's not elite, but he's just a solid coach and has room to grow. He can develop QB's and runs an effective offense.
6. Richt - Proven winner, but has been given every chance to take a capable program to elite status and just hasn't done it. Still a good coach though.
7. McElwain - I would just rather give this guy a 5 year contract than the rest below. He hasn't proven much as a HC, but most see strong potential in him.
8. Jones - I haven't loved what I have seen on the field in his limited time at TN, but if he can win 9+ at TN this season, then he would shoot up this list as he would then prove he can win in the big leagues with the talent he recruits.
9. Stoops - He's done a nice job, and it's hard to judge him too critically since he's only been at Kentucky a short time and Kentucky is a basketball school. It will be interesting to see where his career goes over the next 3-4 years.
10. Sumlin - I just hate his flag football offense. No question it can be explosive at times, but I just don't think it's the recipe for consistent success in the SEC.
11. Miles - Great coach, but like Saban and Spurrier, he's on the back 9 of his career and I just don't see him coming to Arkansas and doing anything except coach Arkansas to maybe a 9 win season then retire in 3 years.
12. Freeze - Not impressed. Sorta like Sumlin, I just don't believe in his shotgun froo froo offense.
13. Spurrier - Shell of his former self. He's done.
14. Mason - I haven't seen him coach one Vandy game, but I haven't heard a single positive thing yet.

Things like this should be deleted from the SEC RANT.

The pig posters used to at least be creative with these kinds of posts. What happened?

This is not a troll. I admit I'm biased and I realize most people won't agree with me, but it's just like my opinion man. So much butt hurt. This place used to not be filled with a bunch of pussies.

If your honest opinion is that Bert is the best coach in the conference based on past results and characteristics that would point to future success then that is worse than being a bad troll.

Maybe this is a ranking based on BMI?
