Alabama head coach Nick Saban hasn't failed to secure 10 victories in a season since 2007, and the four-time national champion has his team in position to compete for another title this winter. The Crimson Tide's ability to replenish a star-studded roster on an annual basis is an immeasurable aspect of his legacy in Tuscaloosa.
Saban is attempting to sign a sixth straight No. 1 recruiting class at Alabama, and he's within striking distance. The Crimson Tide sit at No. 4 overall in composite rankings, behind Florida State, LSU and Ohio State.
Alabama may ultimately benefit from extending its season into the College Football Playoff, though an upset loss against either Auburn in the Iron Bowl or Florida in the SEC Championship Game could dash that outlook. As usual, the Tide enter this final stretch in the thick of several highly publicized recruit pursuits.
Alabama leads the 247Sports Crystal Ball for 5-star in-state linebackers Lyndell "Mack" Wilson and Ben Davis, the son of all-time Tide tackles leader Wayne Davis. The team is also considered a primary contender for 5-stars Greg Little (offensive tackle), Demetris Robertson (wide receiver/defensive back) and Rashard Lawrence (defensive tackle), along with a slew of high-end 4-stars such as Mississippi cornerback Nigel Knott, Maryland edge-rusher Terrell Hall and former Miami wide receiver commit Ahmmon Richards.
If another championship run is in store for Saban, yet another national signing day surge to No. 1 may follow.

Plenty of prospects being heavily recruited by Alabama and Auburn will get a chance to see both teams this weekend for the Iron Bowl.
The top prospect on the list is the nation's No. 1 overall prospect, five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary from Paramus, N.J.
Gary has long said this would be the weekend for his Auburn official visit. The 6-foot-4, 311-pound Gary has not set an official for Alabama, but could do so in December or January.
Michigan is the favorite in the 247Sports crystal ball, but he has official visits set for Ole Miss and USC as well, per 247Sports.
Gary and other recruits from Paramus Catholic will be in attendance, including 2016 receiver Donald Stewart and possibly 2017 linebackers Drew Singleton and Corey Bolds.
Here is an early some other projected key visitors for the Iron Bowl. This is not an official list and many other recruits will be in attendance.
* Ahmmon Richards, WR, West Palm Beach, Fla. - The four-star recruit is high on Alabama after his unofficial visit for the LSU Game. He decommitted from Miami earlier this month and this will be his official visit to Auburn.
* Landon Dickerson, OL, Hudson, N.C. - Dickerson confirmed this will be his official visit. The nation's No. 51 overall prospect and four-star guard is a top priority for Auburn. Alabama has offered, but Auburn's main competition seems to be Florida State and Virginia Tech.
* Kareem Walker, RB, Wayne, N.J. - The nation's No. 1 running back will make an official visit to Auburn after visiting Alabama for the LSU game. Walker decommitted from Ohio State and is looking at Michigan and SEC schools.
* Ben Davis, LB, Gordo - The five-star linebacker is set to be in Auburn, but will make his official visit to the school in January. The Alabama legacy has maintained a wide open stance in his recruitment.
* Marlon Davidson, DE, Greenville - Alabama is still after the five-star Davidson, who has been committed to Auburn since Sept. 4. But Davidson has made numerous trips to Auburn this fall.
Look for many of the state's top 2017 prospects to be in attendance, including Buckhorn linebacker Will Ignont, Madison Academy offensive tackle Austin Troxell and Central-Phenix City linebacker Markail Benton.
Four-star Central-Phenix City cornerback John Broussard also confirmed that this would be his official visit weekend.
Other key uncommitted official visitors, per the 247Sports page, include Lake Worth, Fla., four-star linebacker Zach McCloud, Coconut Creek, Fla., three-star cornerback and Georgia commit Malek Young and Asheboro, N.C., three-star defensive end Nick Coe.

Especially on the defensive side of the ball. Get this, you can come in and be apart of 15 man rotation in the front 7. You still shine and get the attention of the scouts all while not getting a ton of wear and tear on your body. You can't lose in this situation.

I've never seen this guy post any inside information before, which almost makes me more inclined to believe him. I am more likely to believe that some guy has info on one recruit as opposed to someone claiming to have info on many.
He claims he heard it from a staff member at Nico's high school.

This is how I always feel about "insiders"

I have heard nothing about a silent commitment. But I know that he's been said to be very difficult for anybody to get away from Bama since his sophomore year from the usual folks I get my recruiting info from.Have heard we ccould hhave a historic WR haul in 2017. Jeudy is the one that has the coaches salivating.

From Jake Rowe on the UGA247 board:
Glad that he left out Robertson from his "Georgia is the team to beat for __" list.

Yes. There were updates on Derrick Brown, Mecole Hardman, and Demetris Robertson, I believe.
Haven't yet spoken with Nauta but we hope to soon.
As far as good news, I still see Georgia as the team to beat for Nauta, Price, Hardman, Brown, and Carter.
Glad that he left out Robertson from his "Georgia is the team to beat for __" list.

3714,
Seems we may actually lose Kirby this year, any speculation as to his replacement?
