I have this really sick feeling that had the roles been reversed, that statement would have been made the epicenter of the entire case.

You mean if it was a white football player and a black girl and the white dude said something like "300 years of slavery wasn't long enough for your people, bitch" after peeing on her and/or raping her?

Yeah, they'd probably need to shut down Vandy's football program if that ever happened.

That said, Clay Travis has no proof that the allegation is true.

I applaud him for not releasing this before the verdict was in so as to not prejudice the jury pool. It definitely had huge news value.

But the only reason he's posting this today is to cash in on the news value. It's what he gets paid to do. Just like I'm posting the OP so Chicken gets a few more clicks today.

As the father of a young girl, I find rape to be one of the most dehumanizing, despicable acts man has ever conceived of. Whether he pissed on her or said something awful really doesn't make it any worse or better to me. I would want to go Samuel L. Jackson on any sumbitch of any race who raped my daughter. A racial component adds fire to the story for the media and general public but if it was my daughter it wouldn't change a damn thing.

You should feel that way...period. It's despicable if you are the father of a young boy, young girl, or not a father at all.
