McClain shuts it down. Bottom of the 8th coming up for Mizzou. Still 3-2 Mizzou.

Well end of 8th no runs added. To the top of the 9th. McClain still in there. Man on first for USCe no outs. Reached on error.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around beating SC in game 1. Starting to think this team might be for real.
Today will be a tough game. Of our 3 weekend starter, today's is probably the toughest matchup for Mizzou. Freshman on our end who has given up a few runs but has good control. Rarely walks anyone. On the SC side, their starter today is probably Friday starter good. In fact, I think he was their Friday starter for some time.
Even if we lose today, I think the pitching matchups favor Mizzou on Sunday. Our Sunday starter was probably penciled in to be our Friday night starter until McClain emerged.

I was viewing the game last night through game tracker. Even though Mizzou hitters did strike out a few times. I could see they work a pitcher tough. Some of those strike outs were with full counts. Matter of fact, some of those at bats the pitcher was behind most the time. That 7th inning they got the go ahead run, it was a result of a lead off walk. He worked the pitcher pretty good. Now could have been the pitcher or the ump or a combo but it was good to see them being patient at the plate. Mizzou pitching was lights out. McClain got it doen in the 8th when he needed to.
I'll have to look at some stats on USCe's lineup today, if I can find it. I'll be glued to the tv and the MIZZOU flag will be flying. I think they can make another sweep.
Undefeated in SEC play deserves another happy dance or two

A sweep against anyone is miraculous. Against SC would be unbelievable completely. You know the games are streamed online on WatchESPN so you can actually watch it online instead of through gametracker? Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Of course, today's game is on ESPN Network television.
As for the strikeouts, I'll take the job the hitters did against the pitcher who's leading the SEC and one of the tops in all of college baseball in strikeouts. He's just gonna get his. It's what they did around those strikeouts that was so impressive.

Houck looks really impressive for being a freshman. Still down 2-0 bottom of 3rd.

SC cruising today up 2-0. I really think this is their best pitcher throwing today. The guy last night was a thrower. Today's guy is a pitcher.
Houck almost throws too many strikes, especially against the top of their lineup.

I agree.
