This bullshite going around about Robertson worrying about our depth is just that, bullshite.

If he wants to visit Bama, it probably has more to with Bama and little to do with Georgia. Just my two cents, but I would at least visit a defending national champ coached by Nick Saban, if they were interested.

Derrick Brown just comes off as kind of a weak minded individual to me. From the stuff on twitter where a uga fan harassing him made him drop them from #1 on his list, to the looking like a 2 year old who didnt get his way the entire basketball game on his visit..etc.

Call it sour grapes all you want but I just don't see him making a huge impact at AU. His highlight tape is him bullrushing 6'1 220 lbs. guards in 5A, which believe me, is a huge step down from 6A. He was dominated his final HS game against Northgate and in the Army game.

Excited to see what Carter, Clark, Rochester, and Marshall can do. All seem like blue collar, bring it everyday type of guys

No bullshitting, bookmark this.... Carter will end up being the higher drafted player. He's a fricking hoss and his film looks better. Sorry... He's just better. There's a reason why Smart faught for Carter much more than he did for Brown. Bye...

I don't know if Brown is overrated or not, but the situation with him never made sense. He would have had the better town, the better school, a location an hour from home, and a situation where he could have paired up with Rochester, Trent T. and others. Instead...Auburn??? Huh?? It does make you wonder what the drivers really were for him.

I also found the comment by his mother today interesting:
"I just want him to be comfortable wherever he goes because in the SEC, you're going to get the same education everywhere..."

Umm, wrong! You are NOT going to get the same education at all SEC schools. Not that this was likely a major factor for him but still...

This has been my thought. Not that I wouldn't have loved to have D.B. on the roster as well, but with the guys we brought in, I'm not sure he would have been the monster addition that you typically think of out of a 5 star. I'm also of the mind that if we had to lose him, might as well lose him to Auburn where we know Rodney Garner won't do shite with him. Very glad he didn't choose UTk.

Frick Brown. He just entered the defensive equivalent of the witness protection program. AU is where ga d-lineman go to disappear. Lame duck coach who's D staff turned over twice in 2 years. Makes no sense. Same for price. Frack him too.

We’ve been conditioned for UGA to fall flat on our face on NSD.

Having top 10 classes is not falling on our face....and we typically have those every year. We have even put a top 5 class together, IIRC. Not sure what you mean about falling on our faces. Shoot, I don't even remember missing on anybody we honestly thought we would get.

I'm excited what Smart brings to the table. I think we will probably go for a different kind of recruit. I am hoping we can be successful....and think we can.

Past classes. He said that we have become accustomed to falling on our faces in years past.

We haven't closed well on NSD in many years, so yes we've fallen on our face numerous times the first week of February. If you read the entire comment, I'm ecstatic about this class and the way Smart kept things together.

Thanks for cherry picking my comment

Seems like that actually ended up working pretty well for us.

That was the only part of your comment that I had an issue with. Why do you think I was criticizing you? I was merely asking a question. I don't remember missing on anybody that we thought we had a chance to get last year, that's all. Don't be so sensitive.

Seems like a lot of peeps a little on edge with a bit of a lackluster end to the day on the heels of such a good morning. Just relax, it's a long offseason.

Seriously? 6 years ago is the most recent you can find? I would hardly call that getting us accustomed to falling on our faces. Look. I don't remember any from last year that we honestly thought we had a good shot at. I don't remember from years before that.....doesn't mean they weren't there. I'm just asking. But if DaRick Rogers from 6 years ago is the best example....let's just say you become accustomed to things much easier than i do. Do we miss on recruits? I have no doubt we do. Every school does. Alabama does. LSU does. Ohio State does.

I just get tired of people making outlandish statements, and when asked to back it up they act like the person asking for examples did something wrong.

Not necessarily in this instance, because he very well could be right. I honestly don't remember. But to act like I ran over his cat is just crazy.

Brown's mom not listing Auburn yesterday was the same as Hardman not having a UGA cake. Made me feel better about Hardman and worse about Brown. Would love to see us finish with a top 5 class next year. I'll try and update the board tomorrow.
