I am not happy about what has happened re the former UGA player, but it wasn't any of our decision. So please ignore the Big 3 whiners (Ucheat, AU, and the corn dogs)

Perhaps I am. I just think domestic violence is one of the greatest evils in our society. I'm going to ask you and the rest of the third chancers a question, and I hope you will be 100% honest in your answer.
If JT put his hands around your daughter or sister's neck and punched her with a closed fist, would you be lobbying for him to have a third chance five and a half months later?

First off, I'm not lobbying for anything.
Second, I probably wouldn't love it, but I also realize that life isn't fair, and that there would little I could do about it.

Your lobbying has been for everyone to trust CNS.
I believe that domestic violence is wrong and shouldn't be rewarded five and a half months later, and I don't care what CNS or even the Pope says about it. If that were my sister or daughter, I'd have more of an emotion than just "wouldn't love it." I'd be downright pissed off about the whole situation.

Where have I been lobbying? I have only given my personal opinion on the matter, and that's it.

I do too.

I don't think he is being rewarded because he assaulted his girlfriend...

I respect your opinion.
And I know I just called you a drama queen but that is because you said you were melting extremely hard over this

How much time in prison did he serve for his felony conviction?

I keep thinking back to the Ray Rice situation. He had a lot of supporters until the video came out. Once people actually saw him hitting his wife, all support was withdrawn and he become an outcast. What if there were video of Taylor punching and choking his gf? There would be no chance in hell of him ever joining Bama's football team. Which begs the question, why do we need actual video to treat domestic violence as the despicable act that it is?

That's right. If he gets youthful offender status, all is forgiven. It's almost as if his hands were never around her neck causing there to be choke marks.

I will say that I feel more uneasy about it than I originally did, thanks to you guys, but since it is happening whether we like it or not, I have high hopes that Saban turns this kid into a good person.

i'll have to go with not all domestic violence cases are the same. plenty of arguments with even the remotest physical contact could go down as a DV. i've witnessed a female attack her guy and watched him go to jail because he pushed her away in defense and she tripped over something. judging purely on a police report gives us no idea of what led up to a situation or truly what transpired.
