I actually don't think hes the right DC for you guys. As I said, his scheme pretty much revolves around beating your guy 1 on 1. This is part of why we have trouble with Bama's offense. You can't just match up man for man against every team.

With A&M's personnel I really don't see this working out but time will tell for sure.

In a few days I will either wish we had Chavis back or be very happy he is gone...I am not sure how someone could watch LSU the last two years and think Chavis is a slam dunk hire.

Different philosophies, needs and perspectives, I'd wager.
Should be interesting to see if Miles makes a hire similar to Chavis, or if he heads in a completely different direction.

His defense has been top 15 every year at LSU except his first. You have to be Stretch Armstrong to find a way to say this isn't a great hire and right up there with Muschamp as the best hire of the off season.
