No reviewed fumble on Bama's last drive:

Anyone catch that? It wasn't reviewed but it looked like it was definitely a fumble. 2nd and 4. Ball is caught, two steps are made and ball is popped out.

I thought it was a fumble, but didn't they rule him down, or the ground caused the fumble or something? It definitely wasn't ruled incomplete because the clock kept running.

No, you see this play actually hurt Bama. It should have been called incomplete if anything and stop the clock!

It was a fumble, but the blown call didn't do much other than give them a shot at a Hail Mary.

I've been wondering the same thing. Ran 10 secs off the clock we could of used.

I rewatched it today in 1/15 second fast forward...completely correct call. He was down for sure before I saw the ball pop out.

The ref is standing right there and points down as if the ground caused it. Pretty obvious.

When I saw it, to me I thought it was an incomplete pass, but then when the clock kept running, I was puzzled that it was not ruled a fumble.
I think the officials might just have wanted to get the game over.
