as to what happened to Mason...very odd they were unwilling to explain his injury

His vision is fricked up.
Either something scratched surface of his eyeball.....or the hard hit rattled something loose.

Yea, I thought it was odd too. All I've seen is Emerson said "vision issues"

Announcers said vision issues so I guess he could have gotten his bell rung or might be having some vertigo symptoms.

When he was tackled on the last drive, did his head slam the ground? Couldn't a concussion cause vision issues.

I think it's more just that people have no idea what to make of his injury. Could be a bad concussion, could be more serious, could be just poorly placed scratch.
It sucks that he couldn't close out his last game. He was playing really well

Pretty sure he got a moderate concussion when his head whiplashed into the ground.

Yes he was but I'm just glad we were able to run the ball when we needed to the in 2nd half.

If they say he has a concussion, he can't play the rest of the game.
If he has a symptom related to a concussion and it moderates, he can come back and play. At first, he was questionable. Then it moved to not coming back. I assume he ended up with other symptoms.
That is a total guess. Back in my time, you sniffed some ammonia and got back to causing even more brain damage.
