1. Florida

2. UGA

3. Mizz

4. USC

5. UTK

6. UK

7. VU

Florida has a lot of talent on hand and McElwain will make an immediate impact. UGA has just as much if not more talent than Florida on both sides of the ball but Richt will find a way to finish second. I see no evidence to predict a massive fall for Mizz and USC has enough talent on hand make things interesting.

While UT has 45 of the greatest freshman ever seen in college football this season they didn't beat anyone worth a damn. Plus, they are led by a guy who loves to spray seltzer water all over the field in close games as he honks his big red nose.

Disclaimer: I never predict standing where UA is involved.

I have absolutely no idea, but I feel pretty confident it won't be UF. They will have to be improved almost by default, but how many 1st year SEC coaches win their division? Off the top of my head, since 2001, there's been:

-miles, 2005

is that it?

Our entire starting D=line which is really the most important* unit, is graduating or leaving, so massive falloff is certainly a possibility. We also lose a set of senior starting receivers and one of the best all purpose backs in college football.

We might have a few tricks left up our sleeves, after all, we do what we do.

*ps by "most important" I meant most integral to this years success.

UT lost to:

Florida by 1 (Replaces entire staff - scheme)
Georgia by 3 (Replaces OC and starting QB)
Missouri by 8 ( frick Missouri)

With the youngest team in Merica and completely brand new lines.

Returning 40/44 on the 2 deep with the only significant loss being AJ Johnson =

UT frickED

UF
UK
USC
VU

FWIW, I do realize this entire thread was meant as a shot at UT and nothing else, so I'm not really sure why I responded with an actual, real prediction.

You are to Butch Jones what Cookie was to Bozo. There is no scientific evidence that moral victories turn into actual victories the following season.

Correct. The Auburn 2012 team had talent all over the field. They just quit on Chizik.

oh yeah duh. Ok so in the last 14 years, out of 28 division winners, only 2 have been first year coaches.

I gotta play the odds and say UF won't win it.

I don't see anyone running away with the SEC East in 2015. Depending on how much development takes place at TN over this off-season and next season they could be big favorites in 2016, but that is way too far off to even bother to ponder right now.

UGA needs a better passing game.

Missouri losses their DL.

South Carolina is in free fall.

KY doesn't have good enough line play to win the division.

TN, Georgia, and Missouri would by my top 3.

As proven by Auburn, FSU & Alabama the previous two seasons, the importance of an experienced qb is sometimes vastly overstated.

Bro Wallace was the most experienced QB in the SEC this season. Ole Miss had a Top 3 national defense and still lost 3 games......

there was nothing wrong with our passing game this season, fwiw.

Just because we didn't put up aaron murray stats, doesn't mean it was deficient.

Agreed. The problem is Richt. He has the one SEC title but he's done nothing else that even puts him ahead of Donnan. UGA could be a dominant force with the right coach.
