Agreed; games of this magnitude are won in the trenches, and I think FSU has better linemen on both sides of the ball.

Have you seen Florida State's DL this year? It fricking blows. Boston College ran for 250 at a tidy 4.7ypc (with both of their main RBs averaging over 5ypc). Georgia Tech ran for 330 at 5.6ypc and their longest run was only 20 yards (in other words, the stats weren't skewed by a couple of long runs. They really were getting 5 yards on just about every carry). Louisville ran for 170 at 5.8ypc. Even Florida's comically inept offense managed to grind out 113 yards rushing and average 3.4ypc (not great, but come on, it's Florida). In fact, just about the entire ACC ran a train on that DL, despite many of them, particularly GT and Boston College, having awful QBs and no passing threat whatsoever.

Oregon's running game is better than all of those teams and their QB is an absolute stud. They aren't going to put up 21 in the first quarter and do nothing for the rest of the game. They're capable of keeping the pedal to the metal.

On defense, Oregon isn't fantastic, but they're okay and Jameis struggled to read lowly ACC defenses this season (actually, not sure he can read anything, but I digress). If he throws his usual 2-3 picks, and I don't see why he won't, I could see Oregon winning by 40.

FSU is much more physical than Oregon, especially on the line of scrimmage. Mariota will be lucky to make it through the game.
