We can't be elite on both sides of the ball. We can't get over that hump to a perfect season. We always drop those 1-2 games we shouldn't.

Fine. But we also haven't had the talent other schools have had.
Things are finally shaping up to have top 5 recruiting classes in 2015 and 2016 which would be colossal momentum in the next few years.

Now, at this crucial moment for flighty and nervous recruits, Mike Bobo is considering leaving. A huge reason these kids are wanting to come is his commitment to this program.

Mike Bobo leaves
Eason reopens his recruiting
Van Jefferson gone
Godwin to bama
house of cards.

Just when things are on the upswing and gaining huge momentum, something like this would happen. And it sums up the UGA football program perfectly.

I wonder if the backlash on the AA side would cause issues?

A lot of people here think that Bobo leaving would not have much of an impact on our program. I'm not one of them.

Not sure we need another thread about it though...although the last one turned into discussion about southern dialects and affirmative action, so maybe we do.

If we lose Bobo because we pay him like he's a fricking 2nd year position coach at a Div I-AA school, then McGarity should be tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a god damned rail. If Bobo really wants to leave and be a HC, then I understand, but we need to at least offer him 900k/year like basically every other school has started paying their coordinators.
