I thought Gary Patterson already won this award.

Winner won't be chosen until the Peach Bowl

Richt got that far actually playing by the rules. Gotta give some credit for being clean.

It is cute that you actually believe this.

The only 2 coaches who really deserve the award. They both accomplished a lot with the talent level they have.

Mizzou has never had any football sanctions or probations. Can you say that about GA?

Not that Pinkel didn't exceed expectations but I still think the SEC COY should have gone to Mullen and has more of a case for the national award as well

Clemson's Dabo Swinney.

Clemson's Dabo Swinney.

Dan Mullen, Gary Patterson, Urban Meyer, Art Briles, Saban are above the others imo.

Needs to be Pinkel. I bet he swerved all the way home after every game Mizzou won when they shouldn't have.

Give it to urbz. Nobody else on that list makes the playoff after losing their starter AND backup QB.

I don't get this argument. Isn't it part of their job to get better talent?

Will Nick Saban win the award?
No
Should Nick Saban win the award?
Yes
He should win it every year because he is the best coach in college football, and just because he does it every year doesn't mean he shouldn't win it every year.

We've had our down years. '10 was bad and last year, bad decisions in the iron bowl cost us the game. But I do think this year was one of his best coaching jobs at Bama. That team has done a 180 from the beginning of the season.
