Gus Malzahn is here.
Boom will not coach the bowl game. Harbison the DC
Boom at the podium. Audio sucks, will update OP with tweets as they come.
Muschamps says this was a family decision, that it was the only job he was offered.
Calls the time frame on staff assembly, "Gus's decision"
@jzenor: Muschamp says he'd rather be a DC at a place with the resources to win titles than a head coach elsewhere
As long as AU was previously recruiting a UF prospect, Muschamp can continue recruit
Monday through Thursday will be for "observation" (thanks Mac5500)
Will start recruiting right after the press conference.
Has a lot of respect for Dameyune Craig.
Calls the prospect of the Auburn-Florida series revival "Gus's problem"
Stopping the run is the primary goal, defensively. Keeping teams one dimensional and creating turnovers.
Has talked to Saban during the process.
Watched the Auburn/Oregon game the other day, saw guys he recruited win a national championship. Calls it a "work ethic" thing.
@scott4ester: Muschamp on AU returning defensive players: "I'm looking forward to coaching some of the guys that turned me down (at UF)"
Malzahn back.
Contract details will be released in the near future.
Muschamp will have ownership over defensive staff.
Will was the #1 guy, "blessed to have him here at Auburn." "Proven track record."
Malzahn calls Muschamp, "One of, if not the, best in the business."
Defensive guys will be reevaluated "like pieces to a puzzle."
Gus was "happy to give" Muschamp the time he needed to make a decision.
"We expect to win championships."
Muschamp will coach from the sidelines. "Looks the players in the eyes."
And the feed cuts out.

I'm sure that was on purpose. One of those "tell us when the proposal is good enough for us to extend an offer" type of things.

Yep, but now the audio is back with a vengeance... on the left side

Are any other notable people in attendance? Sullivan? Jackson? Pearl?

Big boom on that recruiting clause.

He said the timeframe of staffing decisions is up to Gus. According to KN
A much different statement

I think this is kinda coach speak...no way he is gonna say "yeah everyone is on the chopping block" going into the bowl game

He better be recruiting his arse off since he isn't coaching the bowl game. Even if he is "observing" M-Thu.
