@Vol_Football: The #Vols are happy to announce they will open the 2015 season vs. @BG_Football at @LP_Field in Nashville on Sept. 5
UAB was originally scheduled but their football program kinda got destroyed.

Bowling Green beat Indiana. Indiana beat Mizzou
Bowling Green > Mizzou
Bowling Green > Mizzou

Neutral site game against Bowling Green???? That is awesome. Will that be on CBS or ESPN?

It's just a glorified scrimmage before VOLS start their march to Atlanta.

Watch out you don't get beat; they are pretty good.

There's an opponent worthy of a headline opener versus a storied program.

Why in Nashville?
Mostly for recruiting and of course for fans in middle/west TN that might have a hard time getting to Knoxville.

We still have a contract with LP Field even though UAB shut down their program. Bowling Green just happened to have an open week.

Butch is all about neutral site games in our main recruiting areas.
2015 - Nashville
2016 - Battle at Bristol (VaTech)
2017 - New Georgia Dome (GaTech)
2018 - Charlotte (WVU)

Could have opened with Idaho or Nichols State, or Sam Houston Tech Community College for the Blind and Mentally impaired like LSU did.

VOLS are playing OU the following week. GA Tech, West Va and Virginia Tech are all scheduled to open up against Tennessee in '16, '17 and '18.

Oh yeah, I forgot. But you did still play Sam Houston Tech Community College for the Blind and Mentally impaired.
