It's Saban's best coaching job by far. Bama looked like a very average team our first 4 games. I'll be the first to admit I had my doubts as to whether this team was capable of winning any form of a championship.

Sims
Deserves every bit of this success. 4 years he sat patiently behind QBs until it was his chance. I'm gonna miss him.

Coker is more mobile than you think.

I tend to agree. Saban has done a good job this year. This wasn't a team that could just show up and win, but they are a real team now not just a bunch of 5 stars just out talenting everyone.

This team is his best coaching job. Blake is turning into a great Bama icon and we would be an 8-4 team without Kiffin.

Bourbon or scotch, and which brand?

Johnny Walker Black
I'm pretty simple with my drink selection. Black and coke works for me.

I would send you a bottle for the OP. You are mellowing, just like Johnny Walker.

Great Post!! Blake is a perfect example of what college football is all about. His story reminds me of Kodi Burns. Being patient, finding a role, thinking about the team before yourself. All rare qualities in today's athletes.

I'm love watching good things happening for Sims. He is so deserving of all that's happening to him and this is Sims team now. After the season Sims has had, he should be in New York too. I've been critical of this Bama team at times, but this Bama team has reached the likeability levels of 2009 Bama. They've also improved has the season play on too. We'll see if it ends well for this Bama team, but for Sims sake, I sure hope it does.
Good luck Bama

Not much of a drink connoisseur. Whatever gets me fricked usually makes me happy.
Jack and coke, black on the rocks, screw driver, or a mojito. That is about all I know.

Well said...great observations.
We wouldn't be where we are without Sims and Kiffin. Together.
If Kiffin doesn't win the Broyles award, it will be an absolute travesty. Dave Steckel, Missouri's DC, is another finalist, and Kiffin took him to the woodshed last night. Kiffin's work with Sims as his position coach as well as his work as the OC this year sets him apart from the rest, although I'm sure the Ohio State OC will get some support. But the fact is that the Ohio State OC wasn't having to work with a QB who...well, quite honestly, someone who everyone else thought just wasn't worth a shite. Kiffin took a guy who practically every one thought was an absolutely horrible passer and made him into a record setting QB.
The vast majority of Alabama fans probably thought we were fricked coming into this year. And Alabama's rivals were no doubt rubbing their hands together with glee. Few in their right minds could believe that Coker couldn't beat out Sims. Now we know why. Sims has absolutely worked his arse off to get where he is, but it's been Kiffin, right there working his arse off with Blake, who's helped get him there. If we still had Nussmeier, we would be 8-4.

Yeah, that's right...humble and selfless. Being an Oregon fan, it's understandable that you don't realize that Blake didn't play a snap in that game.

And color me completely surprised by the OP. Have to give credit....and Not what I expected when I saw the poster and subject line. Reminds me of a scene from Taladega Nights.
