Hard to say since Smart hasnt been out from under Saban yet. Don't know what he can do own his own.

Hard to tell tbh.
Bama gets crazy talent because of tradition and Saban.
Muschamp had talent at Texas too, but nothing like multiple #1 classes type talent IIRC.
Gut says Muschamp.

Smart calls the plays and has for years.

Well yea they wouldn't need a DC if he didn't.

Let you know when Smart decides to come out from under Saban's skirt.

Saban is paying him $1.5m. What do you think?

Damn I googled and Muschamp was getting 425K at Texas. Saban knows something.
Eta but I bet Muschamp will be north of a mil at his next stop.

The fact Smart is afraid to leave Saban tells me all I need to know. Give me the guy who has the balls to try and make it on his own.

Idk
1.5M with that talent and not really dealing with failure because you just keep fricking winning...not a bad gig.

can you imagine the sideline freakshow if auburn hires muschamp? you would have sling blade dancing around, screaming at refs and yelling gogogogogogo every play on offense, and then boom murdering players on the sideline on D.

Kirby Smart wants the head job at UGA. That's his alma mater and his dream job. It's the only head coaching job he wants.

That's actually pretty funny...

I agree with this. If Georgia is really the only job he wanted I would take a lesser school to prove I am worth hiring as a head coach.
True he is a phenomenal DC (at least that is what we are led to believe, wont know until he is on his own or under an offensive minded head coach somewhere else). But Georgia would feel more comfortable hiring him if he was successful elsewhere as well.
As to the OP, right now I say Muschamp because he has been on his own and has had success without Saban (defensively at least).
