Those folks don't use MARTA and live in Woodstock so they don't have any MARTA tips

Through Atlanta. Get it right.

Inman Park Station itself is within walking distance to a couple of great restaurants. One Eared Stag and Boccaluppo. Plus the Krog Street Market just had some openings.
If you go further down Edgewood there is a good pizza place - Ammazza.

The Marta rail isn't so bad. I would never get on one of those buses. What a time suck.

10% of the MARTA crowd is taking that line while the other 90% are cramming onto the North trains.
Exactly - most of Atlanta lives to the north of downtown. Inman Park is also easily accessible off of I-20 with GPS.

Rail is decent... just not extensive enough.

West DeKalb for the win

Also, 95% of visitors have been told that if you take MARTA anywhere other than north to Buckhead then you will be raped, pillaged and stabbed, so they are all terrified to take the Blue line.

Better than where it is now. There is nothing redeeming about Turner Field's location.

Agree. Wish they'd build it near the Dome 20 years ago when preparing for the Olympics. Would have been a completely different atmosphere. The old "build a stadium and development will come" idea is such a disaster.

Plans have changed and we can't leave until tomorrow so we gave up the hotel. So no I need to redo our trip plans. Coming in Atlanta on I20W where should I try to park to get MARTA for the GA Dome?
All help is appreciated.
As someone who lives W. of Atl. (near Douglasville) I've ridden Marta prolly 50 times to Falcons games & an occasional event at Phillips from the Hightower Station on the W. end of the MARTA line & never had a problem. There have always been a ton of fans on the trains & a lot of security around on gamedays...
With that said, I would not ride MARTA from Hightower by myself on a regular afternoon/evening, but I've always felt safe riding in from the westside for a "big event". MARTA & the City of Atlanta do a pretty good job of protecting their "image" when it comes to events like the SECCG, Final Four, Superbowl etc...
Just my .02...

That is a good point, I can't ever remember hearing of MARTA issues on any line at high usage times for events downtown. In addition I'm guessing there will be a lot of Alabama folks on that side of town training in.

What's your thoughts on Chief Womack? Seems like a blowhard to me.
