anything new on the renovation/replacement front? I know UK and the city had a "falling out" over the summer on the costs of the renovation.

It's all about the bonds. The state couldn't/wouldn't finance it last session and the City is really the party pushing the upgrade because the think a more modern facility will attract more conventions/concerts, etc. UK has had some other building project priorities so they didn't really get behind the effort this time. I think ultimately UK wants an on-campus arena while the City will do everything in their power to keep it downtown. This dispute may be what ultimately keeps UK from getting a new arena for a while.

Interesting. I haven't gotten the sense that UK particularly wanted an on-campus arena. I think they have both an inability to fund it and a dearth of real estate on which to place it. I'd love something where the old Stoll field was though. Walkable to chevy chase bars and restaurants.

The PMAC is alright, nothing special. The outside is hideous but doubt we have plans for any upgrades due to our newish (2010) practice facility that is attached

I think it'd be cool to remodel our old arena, Parker Coliseum.I prefer its look
