I mean, sorry that your typical 18-20 yr old college student doesn't want to travel across town to the ghetto and risk their car getting broken into. The only other reason to go to that part of town besides Legion Field is to buy heroin in the projects across the street.

It's funny. I'm a finance guy by trade and a generally intelligent person by genetics.
I read the little "strategic plan for athletics" that Watt put out and it took me about 15 seconds to recognize a couple really obvious things:
1. The "consultants" that were brought in were told, from the start, to find a way to justify killing the football program.
2. The plan is to end athletics at UAB altogether within 10 years.
I'm not going to get into the politics of this shady arse deal (I have my own STRONG opinions)... but, it's obvious that, whatever the reason, the plan is to kill collegiate athletics at UAB.

Plenty of other teams can fill up that stadium. Try again

Stupid fricking post is stupid fricking post. I was gonna post (again) all the photos of 67,000 people showing up for this year's Magic City Classic, along with countless numbers of massive numbers of fans tailgating, but I'm tired of it. Do your own homework if you want to avoid looking like a fool.
I was also going to search on AL.com for the articles about all the killings and rapes and car break-ins that occurred that day, but I got lazy. Feel free to do that yourself also.

The students at Birmingham Southern would like to say hi. They are a block from Legion Field.
