It doesn't help, but people will always think the worst of Alabama. I was in Boston a few years ago and someone asked me if I had running water.

Eh, it doesn't really matter, unfortunately. You get North of Lexington and they think everyone living south of them is _________ (fill in the blank with phrase that seeks to compensate for Yankee suckery).

I hope fans of both schools realize how bad this makes the state of Alabama look.
I'm sure alumni of both are not pleased. It's the sidewalkers that make schools look bad.

I have family on the West Coast, and they are saying that all of the sports talk shows, radio & tv up & down the coast are running replay after replay of all of Finebaum's worst callers. And they are not being subtle in describing the callers as the typical southerner football fan, Alabama/Auburn fans in particular. If its ESPN's goal to spread the SEC brand nation wide, what it is actually doing is an embarrassment to both the league and the South.A friend in Ohio says they have been having a blast mocking the SEC fan base. But I've turned off Finebaum, not for the callers but since he, once again, has turned his show into the bama network. He said on live tv back in Oct as saying the 3 NC that bama won were the "3 best days of my life".
