I agree. I dont know Gus, but completely ignoring the defense in a post game presser seems arrogant to me. He obviously only wanted to talk about how close the O was to making it a blowout (his strength) and completely ignore that his D stayed in zone far too often in the 2nd half.

An offensive mind should be able to see that just as easily as a defensive mind. Is it not the head coaches job to ring up the d coord and make a change?

I think Gus is a helluva coach ....this Def- coordinator hire is going to make or break him. If he can get someone competent.Someone that compliments how he runs his offense. He will be a force if not or if he keeps Ellis the tigers are in trouble.

I found it odd that he refused to discuss the defense.....I think he really believes if they could just put enough points, then that was all it would take.....
