That might be the best way to approach it, but remember Kiffen returned to the SEC as a coordinator this season and had good results.

So Muschamp might do well as DC in the right situation, possibly even at an SEC school.

By the way, when is the coaching changes thread returning to the Rant?

Saban had to reign Kiffin in. Defense in college between equally talented programs relies on schemes. You can find the holes in schemes after about 8 possessions.

If A&M is to have any defensive success, then they have to change their offense to hold the ball longer.

Muschamp(one HC gig) is probably regarded higher in terms of a quick return to HC, than is a Kiffin that has proven mediocre in that regard at three stops.

Boom is infinitely more mature and level headed than LK has shown to date, in terms of a HC.

The SEC is the premier league, and the one known for elite D, but Boom probably will be leary of becoming an SEC DC a 3rd time..that pattern looks a bit habitual!

An 2nd HC gig(even if it has to be CUSA or MAC,etc..) >> 3rd SEC DC gig..if still aspiring an HC career path.
