1984, 1990, 2001, and 2002 have been the only real upsets in the past 35 years.
Don't care about what the betting line is or the rankings.
The 4 I mentioned are the only ones in 35 years when the team that was definitely better lost.

Agree, though while I think last year in hindsight the teams were pretty close it was definitely an upset for Auburn to win at the time in the eyes of everyone. They were a pretty heavy underdog (both in Vegas and amongst both fanbases).
2001 and 2002 were incredibly wacky.

Really? You don't consider 1985 a major upset?
