Living in Atlanta made me appreciate the Hogs prices much more. I had the chance to go to games at Tennessee, UGA and Auburn and they were all more expensive than us.

the counter argument is we are a poor state, to which I say that has nothing to do with how expensive it is to run with the big dogs.

Bama and Mississippi are poor as frick too. they figure it out.

I understand the results on the field argument, but if you don't look at our overall athletic facilities, programs, national exposure, reputation, tailgating atmosphere, and general interest in the program and see VAST improvements over where we were say 15 years ago... then I don't know what to tell you.

I was here in Fayetteville in the early 90s as a student (I was a Junior when we won the NC in basketball). I've lived here on and off ever since. I'm amazed at the increase in atmosphere and overall presence of athletics and the University up here over that time period. We've gone from being something of a backwater to a majorly impressive campus with first class facilities... and we just keep improving.

Now I realize we need wins in the long run (and we're moving in that direction), but it's hard, to me, to fault the overall direction of athletics up here.
