Depth is that bad despite #1 recruiting classes year after year?
LT is a tough position for any team to recruit multiple, elite players. If Cam is out then Bama will have their #2 at LT, #2 at RT. It's not a desirable situation and could help LSU. Then again, maybe the #1 recruiting classes will pay off at other positions and Bama will extend the streak of victories over LSU to 4 games and the streak of holding LSU under 20 to 5 games.

Serious? Depth is that bad despite #1 recruiting classes year after year?
Brandon Greene didnt pan out and is now a blocking tight end, was a high 4 star LT in the 2012 class. Cyrus left early. Under ideal circumstances Cam Rob would have been the depth this year instead of starting (although i think he has played better as a freshman the cyrus did as a junior). It doesnt take much to get behind the 8-ball at LT if someone doesnt pan out, and it didnt help that Stoutland basically could not recruit at all during his time. Cristobal had a bit of a bare cupboard, but has recruited like crazy. Future looks bright.

Offensive line recruiting has been somewhat suspect the last few years. Our old offensive line coach was not allowed on the road by the NCAA because of some shite while he was at Miami.

Not a lot of quality linemen. Having a handful of 5 stars elsewhere doesn't really help the o-line.
We do have a true freshman LT. Should answer your question.
