right now I am seeing this:
Christians - 52 seats in the Senate
Lions - 45 seats in the Senate
LA has a runoff on Dec 6 - looks pretty certain that the good guys get to 53 seats on this one
AK - very tight - is there a runoff? this looks like another republican pickup
VA - still too close to call, again, is there a runoff? I think the dems keep this one
At the end of the day, it looks like a 54 - 46 split

There'll probably be a recount in VA, but it looks like the Libertarian vote will give Warner the win for the Dems

Louisiana is for sure electing Cassidy.
Alaska is almost certainly going Republican.
Virginia will keep the Dem, but that race wasn't even expected to be close.
54-46 it is.

I know I am dreaming, but man, I would LOVE to see the repubs win the WH and pick up 6 more Senate seats in 2 years - a filibuster proof majority...
That is what Barrack Hussein Obama bin Laden had to get his healthcare plan passed, and even then he had to strong-arm a handful of Dem Senators - including Landrieu in LA
It is a wonder she is still there in my opinion...
The biggie was the threats to shut down military bases in NE and cripple their economy
We need enough votes to repeal Obamacare...

Obamacare is not getting repealed. Evenw ith a filibuster proof majority and the WH, the GOP is not repealing it.

The map isn't nearly as friendly in two years for the Senate. Those Rs in blue states that won in 2010 are up for reelection. A fillibuster proof majority is a pipe dream.
Landrieu is still in because she wasn't up for reelection until this year. She is toast in the runoff. We have an open primary here, so a handful of candidates split the R vote to keep Cassidy from 50%. He'll likely pull 58-62% on December 6th.

I know
But we CAN appeal Obamacare, we have already slowed down the implementation of much of it

This. They'd never remove the tit for fear of the baby crying. Obamacare benefits too many interests (corporate and personal) for its repeal ever to occur.

But they won't. It's too good of an issue to run on. Why would the GOP kill the golden goose?

OK, maybe it is a pipe dream...

I'm determined to pull you out of this optimism.
The GOP had house, senate, and WH from 2000-2002. Name some great republican accomplishment they did with it.

There were only a handful of Republicans that were serious about repealing / defunding Obamacare.
The worst piece of legislation in history is here to stay, because Republicans are only slightly better than democrats.

I regret not supporting Ron Paul, I knew he did not have a chance...
And I have no optimism, I think that as a country, we are good and truly fricked
NOW, I will let you know how crazy i am, i also think we are living in Biblical Apocalyptic end times
I used to be very politically active, but i have all but given up. The Repubs really are not that much better than the Dems, they just want to take SLIGHTLY less of my money
Neither party stands for freedom
all that really matters is that i feed my kids and teach them about Jesus
So there you have it...

One party rule is never good for the people. I like gridlock. It keeps all the bastards in check.
