Please take a deep breath and relax. It's fine if you want to keep score on the weekend, but I'll handle the rest.
Thank you.

Sure, you got it. Last week I received thanks for doing this. So I thought it was appreciated. This week I get grief.
And I was careful to ask your permission before I did this before and you said it was fine.
But whatever, I was just trying to be helpful.

Serious question
With Verne being Verne are the chortles, grunts, and assorted sounds that may be words count or are they a push?
Between "Louie Louie" and Verne, never sure what is actually being said.
Also,
It's completely up to him/her on whether to take it.
Are there any women in the crowd?

The letter "y" can make a vowel sound. But, the letter "y" is not a vowel.
At least, that's how I was taught.
Either way, if Verne drops a "y" on us, then let the debate begin. If we have to contact the National Grammar INstitute and get some professionals involved to settle the matter, then so be it........HGMF'ers.

If you can agree with that, there are maybe a half dozen words that start with Y in which it is a vowel, none of which ole Verne is going to say at any point in the broadcast.

NOt sure, I agree. But, I just learned a new word...."diphthong".
Anwyay, we're dealing with the last letter of the first word. Not first letter of first word.....
Either way, if Verne's first word ends in "y", and it factors into who may win or who may end up on the chopping block...........we'll launch a thorough investigation into the matter.
Kind of like when they didn't televise the coin-toss for the SEC championship game, so JacketFan77 contacted the SEC offices in Birmingham who then contacted the officiating crew from the game.....and we got a certified answer a few days later.

"Will Muschamp blah blah blah........." will be Verne's first sentence.
They'll touch on the urgency of this game for him. While showing earlier footage of Muschamp giving crowd of Gator fans high-fives as he walks from bus to the stadium wearing a suit. As a way to frame the major story line for the game....
Cue the CBS theme music. Roll intro.......
"L" = consonant, btw

"Venerable Stanford Stadium in Athens, GA"..........
Those were his first words for the Tennessee game a few years ago. I remember it because he actually called it "Stanford Stadium".

To end in a vowel you're really only talking about one letter.... "e". I'd be willing to go double or nothing that if it IS a vowel...it's an "e". "O" may be a distant second. "A"? "I"? No way....and I don't see Verne busting into any Olde English with a "Thou" ...
"Welcome" "There" "We're" "Here" "The"...it could be any of those.
Hmmmm.....

shite...he could lead with "Everbank"
If he mis-pronounces the first word and makes it end with a vowel, that still counts right?
