Oh...no matter what...Chubb should start!

No way. But Chubb will get a much deserved HUUUUGE ovation from the fans and team when he steps on that field for the second or third series.

So, now that we've enjoyed some relief from hearing this news......I guess we should realize that we aren't technically out of the woods yet though.
I read somewhere that it takes the NCAA review committee a minimum of 24 hours to issue a ruling after the application is submitted....
I guess we have the BYE Week helping us if they drag their feet, so is it pretty much just a formality now?..........Or are there any other ways the NCAA could still frick us over on this thing?

Didn't I read on here that it took something like 8 minutes for Cam's review to get completed?
Either way. We've waited this long, I can hold out for another 24-48 hours as long as the end result is good news.

It's possible, but based on the wording of the press release, I doubt it. Sounds like they're confident he'll be reinstated immediately.

I think the Lawyer's Rule applies here: You don't ask the question unless you already know the answer.
But can anyone remember a school requesting a reinstatement and being turned down?

Just thinking it might be more of an emotional boost for us vs AU. I think Chubb, et al can handle UF. Matters not though. I'll be happy either way.

D, JD. That clip of TG3 scoring vs Floriida last year is unrecognizable. He 200% better this year. He was obviously not well for most of the yr last season.

2 things:
-we saw last year that losing a few weeks of conditioning can hurt. It took Gurley 3ish games games to get to normal. Yes, I understand last year he was hurt while this year he's still been practicing, but we dont' know the extent of his practice time, and he might not be in 100% game shape in game 1 upon return
-I want to monkey stomp florida, I think we all do. Sure chubb is capable. But keep in mind we could still be without sony and keith. What if chubb gets dinged up and all we have is douglas to carry the load with no one behind him? Gurley is the best player in america and we should want him to play every possible minute we can get out of him.
IMO.

This won't be an issue. There's a reason they've kept him practicing and working out for the past two weeks; they knew he'd be out but would need to stay in condition to play. The ankle injury last year hampered his ability to do anything, really, as far as staying in shape.

This. To hell and back, this. Chubb is going to get his carries and deservedly so. But Todd is, has been, and will continue to be a generational player. Chubb has had two great games but he is still a freshman. Gurley is a Junior, is more seasoned, and is a flat out better running back (that's not a knock against Chubb, etiher, given that Gurley is better than every other running back playing right now).

This is Muschamp's year at UF, we all know that. If a moral victory would keep him at UF then I'd be all for a close W, but now I want to just demolish the Gators. Salt the fricking earth.

Gurley said. “I take full responsibility for the mistakes I made, and I can’t thank the University, my coaches, and teammates enough for supporting me throughout this process. I’m looking forward to getting back on the field with my teammates.”
I believe him.
Can you imagine such a statement coming from other recent and current Heisman contenders/winners?

If Gurley's practicing, he's conditioning. But I agree with you that he should be on the field asap due to depth issues. I was just thinking that the emotional boost might be more important for AU. The team will want to run UF out of the stadium already. The deal still might be that he gets reinstated at a certain time in the future. Bottom line: I want Gurley back on the field early and often.
