I knew we had the talent, coaching, and opportunity to win if we executed perfectly...and we did. But then I started thinking we were good enough to slug it out with the best if them...until Arky. Then I thought, well maybe that was a wake up call, maybe they will tighten up and watch the X's and O's better. Miss State showed that if we don't play our BEST game we are extremely vulnerable.

This could go either way boys. I don't know what to predict. I hope coach Sumlin has them mentally prepared to play a perfect game. I hope our crowd, which I will be one of, can disrupt and take ole miss out of sync.

Lots of "I hopes" I guess. Our season could really hang on tomorrow, the difference between 7-5 and 9-3 is huge to recruits.

Let's Gig Em Ag's!!!!!

Don't know what to predict, but we're due to win one of these big home SEC games

Even though I know Ole Miss is #3, I still cant force myself to think of this as a "big" game. My brain still sees Ole Miss and thinks "meh".

Me, too. Preconceptions are slow to adjust. Hopefully, the folks to whom we pay $millions have a better handle on this issue.

If Hill throws accurately and hits receivers in stride, I like our chances.

If he throws behind and our guys are reaching back or stopping to catch balls, this won't cut it tonight. We really need significant yards after catch. Our entire offense opens up when this happens.

Not sure how you fix something like this that he has been doing for a month now.

The problem is this hasn't happened yet this season.

Seriously, go back and watch the USC game. We were all so wrapped up in the aura of winning that game (and I was as guilty as anyone) that nobody seemed to notice that our receivers bailed Hill out all night long.

Only in hindsight did I notice it, but watch how many passes the receivers were catching at awkward angles or with their arms and bodies fully extended. The majority of our slants and crossing routes were behind receivers as well. USC was so bad in the secondary (and they played so far off the receivers) that we had HUGE throwing windows and it didn't really matter that he wasn't that accurate.

It has become readily apparent to me that Hill just isn't a very accurate quarterback at this point. He throws a low velocity, wobbly ball and it causes his passes to drift in the air. Because of this, our offensive success has been based almost entirely on how the defense decides to play us. When the defense narrows the throwing windows, we cant do much.

IMO, I think there is a very strong chance Hill loses his job next year to Allen. Allen throws a much better ball, especially deep, but takes more chances and makes dumb freshman mistakes.

Any pass he throws beyond 10-15 yards floats on him. It doesn't have a tight spin and the wind resistance gets it.

I agree I would say yes to over 20 yards on this. But his short to intermediate passes are always bullets, which I think is part of the problem

I'll melt harder over this loss, than the MSU loss.

For my livers sake, lets hope you're right.

I don't like your entire post because it is all true. He didn't get a scholarship at A&M by throwing like this in high school. He is innacurate with time or with pressure, doesn't seem to make much difference. Don't know what has happened. `

Idk, I just have a feeling we take 'em down tonight.

Could be wrong, but I'm more excited for this game tonight than I thought I'd be for some reason

I think we beat them also. If we don't win, it is because we made too many mistakes on our own.

Or because we're average at best.
