Exactly, whether he plays or not, he'll be gone. I'd love to see him back for our stretch run.

The last general timeline was from JGT 2 weeks ago. It said to Carl is expected to start football related activities in a month. Since that was 2 weeks ago I would not look for another update til another couple of weeks.
On wanting him to be back this year or not if he's 100% ready to go, hell yes we do, especially if we're still in the playoff hunt when he's ready to come back. Since we are not getting a pass rush bringing 4 guys, a 100% Carl can complete our D because he can allow us to get pressure bringing 4 or even 3 at times.

The man will go pro after his junior year unless he gets hurt again. Honestly, he needs to play. No telling what happens later this season in regards to injuries.

What I believe he was getting at was the same thing I was. I would rather him come back next year for one more healthy year than to try and come back too early and do more damage

Auburn isn't shutting down anytime soon. He has his whole life to get his degree. He doesn't have his whole life to make millions with his athletic ability.

FWIW Hoke posted today that Carl is still progressing well but still no timetable for return. He says November is the best case scenario as of now.
