He targeted a defenseless receiver.

WTF is "targeting" anyway? Every tackle that is made in a game the ball carrier was targeted. That's what the defense does.

Ruffin led with his shoulder and despite the receiver almost having his knees on the ground he still didn't hit him in the head and for that he gets kicked out of the game?

It's ridiculous and like I said, it's not fair to these kids playing defense.

You realize the receiver was trying to grab a ball that was overthrown and in no way was having "his knees on the ground". If the receiver was standing straight up he gets pounded in the helmet not the neck area

It is pretty ridiculous considering how you are asking the kids to do something and then handcuffing their ability to do it.

The rules are clear and he went high. There is no doubt about it that he did not even try and hit him in an acceptable region

It was either a bullshite call or a bullshite rule. I'm certain of that. And if it's the rule, we need to fix it ASAP.

Rule won't be changed and the call was made properly. Bitch all you want but when it happens to AU I'm sure you'll be hollering for a targeting call

Know how I know he didn't hit him in the head or the neck? Because when the blow landed, the WRs head CAME FORWARD FIRST before it whiplashed back.

If he had hit him in the head or neck, there is NO WAY his head goes forward FIRST. Just don't see how the physics of that could even be possible.

In other words, he hit him in the chest with his shoulder and got thrown out of the game for it.
