None of those games besides 9-6 were between the number one and number two teams in the country.

Last year's Iron Bowl decided the West which was pretty cool, Alabama beating JFF was pretty cool, Alabama losing to JFF was an upset but not even close to the GOTC, and Alabama beating LSU was not the GOTC.

I think they would go ND@FSU over A&M@Bama assuming all parties are unbeaten.

It's adorable how LSU fans try to retro insert themselves into history by acting like that game was bigger than any other that has/will be played.

As much as bama shouldn't have been there 21-0 still happened and all the 9-6s will never change it.

As a former "Front Seven" -type, I have to agree. Love to watch great play in the trenches.

Well thanks for you input. We were all waiting for what AUTiger45 had to say about the LSU-UA game from three years ago.

That game was horrible. (said the Baylor fan) The talent was tremendous but the offensive play calling was kindergarten complexity. Forgetting results of either game, the existence of that natty rematch alone invalidates that game being considered a game of the century.

I think LSU fans deserve a pass for whatever coping they need. Most assume they would have beat okst had Alabama not CAUSEBAMA'd its way into the natty. I would have loved to see that game, but I can't argue against the LSU confidence in that match up.

Incorrect, sir. I vehemently disagree.

Notre Dame loses to Stanford and Gameday was already in Tallahassee.

But brutal. Every play seemed to have a heightened magnitude. I came out of the stadium completely exhausted.

Also, the only game on the op's list that can even be mentioned in same breath as GOTC.
