I thought A&M was supposed to have some huge alumni base?

The Arkansas/Texas A&M college football game drew a 2.8 overnight rating on CBS Saturday afternoon, down 43% from Georgia/LSU last year (4.9) but even with Tennessee/Georgia in 2012 (2.8). The 2.8 is well below the previous SEC on CBS telecasts this season, which drew overnights of 4.2 (South Carolina/Georgia) and 5.1 (Florida/Alabama).

The game was not even the top SEC telecast of the weekend, trailing Tennessee/Georgia on ESPN (3.1).

Nobody watches teams that have fans that welch on bets.

I saw most of it. The one question I have is why did your coach stop running the ball? It just made no damn sense at all. He had a 2 TD lead and kept throwing - as if he wanted to make sure his QB got some #s in the game. If he would have kept running you would have knocked them out.

50,000 + students and none of them but the Corps care about the team.

odd how you have the exact same bright side every week.
Previous week vs cupcakes
Ark - NIU 0.3
A&M - SMU 1.8
I think Bert must have eaten all your fans

Arkansas is dragging the SEC down.

Why are you still posting?

I can explain the low ratings:
N.C. State jumped up to a 17 point lead on Florida State. Many people rushed to see it in the hopes that Rapist Winston would fail.

Actually, it had very solid numbers. It was on directly opposite the FSU/NC near upset. In the past two years, it had been up against nothing.

No one really cares about Texas A&M and Arkansas.

You are the biggest dripping count on the entire rant.

I bet we carried our numbers in viewership- I'd like to see a map.

A&M can only carry Arkansas so much. You had the crazy FSU/NCSU game going on as well and the Texas game was on at the same time which split up some of the casual fans in Texas. FWIW though they actually broke away from the Texas game in Austin to show the end of the A&M/Arkie game just to show how far Texas has fallen.
Arkie had huge sections of the stadium unfilled and apparently large numbers of hillbillies forgot to pay their electric bill so they only had 27 actual viewers of the game.
On the A&M side there was a rash of Dad's that were coaching their son's Pop Warner football game and had to DVR it. I fell in that category myself.
