Sorry but good teams figure out how to win. Bad teams lose to state at home.

Who knew getting sketchy calls from the officials was figuring out a way to win.

What call was sketchy, exactly?

Are you counting the non-call facemask on the A&M RB?

Our OC became too predictable and left our D on the field too long in the fourth quarter. Good job by your DC to make the correct adjustments as the game went on

And as Auburn knows, we are pretty thin at some positions , so fatigue can be a factor late in the game if we don't execute our gameplay well.

And even despite those factors, we are one questionable tripping call or one late dropped snap away from having prevailed

Yesterday was a battle between evenly-matched teams. Congrats on the win; you deserve it.

But in two years we have completely closed the gap between our two teams.

I can live with that.

First, the tripping call wasn't "sketchy". He intentionally whipped his leg around to trip our defender. The only sad part is that it wouldn't have affected the play anyway. Overall, it was a piss poor performance by the refs (Trey Williams getting his head rotated 90 degrees by the facemask that wasn't called), but I don't think the refs necessarily favored one team over the other. Besides, we shot ourselves in the foot the whole game (Josh Reynolds dropping passes that hit him square in the hands) and still managed to hang around.

...this is part of the process in Tuscaloosa.
