Thought this would be an interesting read. For those that have ventured into the recent SC / UGA fans you'll find the Gamecocks predicting a pretty gloomy outcome whereas the UGA fans expect to win, but are timid in calling for a blowout.

This is a pretty good indicator as to why. Essentially, over the last 20 years UGA has brought in teams that are far superior to SC but always seem to struggle. Even in wins, UGA has just had a hard time putting points on the board.

quote:

Since that night, nine Georgia teams have ventured into Williams-Brice Stadium. Seven of them won bowl games. Two won the Eastern division crown. One finished as champion of the SEC.

But none scored 21 points.

Georgia has scored 41, 42, and 41 in the last three border showdowns held in Sanford Stadium.

The last three in Williams-Brice?

14, 6, and 7.

The list of Bulldogs who have not broken the 20-point barrier in Columbia is astounding. Among them are Champ Bailey, Orson Charles, Knowshon Moreno, Matthew Stafford, David Greene and A.J. Green.

Why is this relevant? Well because most of the SECers, myself, Dawgs, and 'Cocks alike think UGA will score fairly easily. This is about the only thing that gives me hope.

I agree with you. Fwiw

But I think Georgia wins a close one. Low scoring, though.

I think our players get distracted by that rooster crowing. But yes. This sums it up nicely.

I've not seen one UGA fan outside of the eternal sunshine pumper known as Firewind who predicts a high scoring game.

So if Georgia wins 7-3, is the tamu smashing of your defense still downplayed?

Dammit, you guys are going to force me to change my Hunger Games pick. The Vegas line I checked yesterday has Georgia giving 5.5 points. Jefferson has it at 9.5 which is a stretch considering the history of the series in Columbia.

Who said we were calling it a blowout? Don't tell me y'all think we're acting like that YouTube Clemson fan.

Load the box and force UGA to win through the air. This game will be closer than the ranters think
