re: Was adding Texas A&M to the SEC a mistake?

Inviting the aggies was done for one primary reason, money. The SECN benefits from the huge Texas tv market. The league itself has been wanting to get in the state. But don't kid yourselves, aggies, UT would have been invited instead of you if that had been a possibility. The SEC benefits, no doubt. But the aggies benefit a hell of a lot more & if you doubt that, just go back 3-4 yrs ago & look at where your program was; compare it to where you are now. All because of the SEC.
