The Defensive Scout Team defends against the Flexbone errrrday. Not the ones and twos on starting D.

You're right.....What would CPJ know about defending against this style of Offense?

I mean, he's only been watching it get shut down for years and years. And years.

Jackets by 24. Minimum.

I see tons of people are picking Oklahoma to destroy UT.

I just don't see them winning by 18. I expect them to win in a dog fight by a minimum of 10 points.

Tennessee lost 3 games by that margin last year or more and that was versus Oregon, Bama, and Auburn.

Oklahoma last year didn't beat any team with a pulse by more than 18 points. They beat Alabama, Texas Tech, kansas State, Notre Dame and West Virginia by less than 2 touchdowns and had their asses handed to them by Baylor and Texas. Don't believe the hype.

Just poking at you Jeff.

Defending the option is easy. Interior Lineman and Inside Backers play the dive. DEs take QB. Outside Backers and Corners take the pitch. Safeties are running the alley QB to the pitch.
There are of course other ways to play it but that was the way I was taught. Everyone has an option assignment every play.

It's when someone misses their assignment that you get gashed. I'm still on the fence on this pick.
