Really, bc it took a "leaping" penalty to beat a mediocre Saban team that year

I guess you should give back those national titles because nothing could saved you from losing to 5 loss Florida at home in 03 by double digits or two 5 loss teams in 07.

Tubs is right that team was the most dominant SEC team of the BCS era and it isn't really close. Every game except for like two was over at halftime. #1 scoring defense in the nation, SEC Offensive POY and 1st round draft pick QB, 2 top 5 RBs, 3 receivers with multi year careers in the league, 2 Pro Bowl offensive lineman, Thorpe Award winner....

Against a schedule that had 4 total teams with a winning record. (LSU, UT, UGA,VT). Shut out 6-0 at half time by a probation depleted Bama team down to their 3rd string QB. Needed "the call" to get past an underwhelming LSU team that struggled with powerhouse programs like Troy that year.
Continued to make their case by barely getting by Va. Tech in the the Sugar Bowl.

Other than the UGA game, not so dominate against the little bit of legit competition on the schedule.
