You're missing the point. That loss was to a West team, so it's expected. But the discrepancy in talent goes away as soon as the move to the East. They would be launched into a position as a real contender for the division.

Arkansas vs the SEC east in 2013... outscored 82-17 in two losses.

But suddenly they are #2 in the SEC east this year...

Hahaha, no it doesn't. Georgia, Florida, USC and Tennessee all have more talent

Look at the cross divisional play last year. Missouri beat ole miss and A&M, we beat lsu and barely lost to auburn, Carolina won their 2 games(forgot against who). There isn't as big of a gap as you think. Arkansas sure as hell lost to whoever they played.

Uhhh.... Florida and Georgia have more talent than any West teams besides Alabama and possibly LSU.

But that's okay TAMU would likely finish 3rd in the East this season so you have that going for you.
