Anybody can adjust their ballot after being proven wrong.
That is what they are suppose to do.

If people are saying his first ballot will reflect the way things look at the end of the season, I laugh out loud at them
No one, especially not the voter, is claiming this.

I still don't see much difference between this guy and other voters except his view of who the best teams are is completely different from anyone else in the known universe.

His votes reflect his opinion of the best teams from week to week and then he adjusts his poll when proven wrong. A lot of other voters do the same thing

That is precisely what the voter is claiming. He states:

"My preseason poll is a projection of how I think the teams will finish in January, for this reason: If the preseason No. 1 is the best team – the voter’s pick to win the national championship — then it seems to follow that all the teams should be slotted according to projected finish." at Preseason

Most of the defenders of this voter don't appear to understand his own metrics. If his algorithm was based on "on field results" it would seem he would weigh a teams result ATS. He doesn't seem to do that. Instead he seems to give teams a bump for wins or tough losses in late games

It doesn't seem too much like evaluating "on field results". It looks more like creating something different to get attention and then conforming at the end.
