Fournette 8c 18 yds,
I understand the hype, but watched him run and didn't impress me Saturday. That doesn't mean I'm writing him off. But I saw two others who looked like better runners.
Sony Michel 6c 33 yds, 3r 20 yds,
I was very impressed, showed excellent burst, power and speed. Some bad mental errors were the only negatives. Some people don't know that Sony ran 10.60 100m as a HS freshman in state track. He took a step back after his knee injury, but that appears to be ancient history now.
Racean Thomas no stats
His HS videos were impressive and he'll get some yards in AU's offense if he stays healthy.
Elijah Hood 8c 43 yds,
didn't see him play against Liberty
Jalen Hurd 11c 29 yds, 2r 16 yds
Honestly, I'm not buying the hype in advance of the proof. Probably prejudiced in advance because I think he's too tall and runs too high, but that's what I saw on Saturday.
Nick Chubb 4c 70 yds,
I knew he was strong and fast, but still wasn't sure if it would translate at a higher level. I'm seldom 100% sure about a freshman (AJ Green being probably the only exception), but I'm moving that direction on Chubb.
Of those top freshman backs that I saw this weekend, I'd take Chubb and Michel and sleep very well. Chubb had the better highlight runs, but I can't venture a guess which of those two is going to end up with a better career.

Just a snapshot but from what I saw, Chubb will be our next power back after Gurley leaves and Michel will be a bit more finesse and more of a pass receiver.

We've done a great job of coaching up running backs. All of all backs have produced as freshmen.

Shouldn't it be "Neaux Vision"?
