You seriously have to be a fool to some how come away from this being worried about Mason and compare him to Joe Cox. Mason's throw to Bennett in the endzone where the two Clemson players collided and got hurt was a perfect pass.

One things you need to recognize about Disney: The man knows more than most about the quarterback position and the game of football. He played college football for both Kirby Smart and Paul Johnson.

Second, Mason looked okay, not great, not bad,but okay. He screwed up that long pass to Chris Conley (which resulted in PI on Clemson). The perfect pass would have involved Mason leading Conley into the 10 plus yards of wide open end zone space in front of him. Mason also telegraphed far too many of his reads last night, especially in the passes to the running backs. He also under threw a 20 plus yard pass to a wide open Bennett on the sideline.

While every quarterback has a bad game and it's hard to judge Mason on this one game a lone, Mason better figure out how to stretch the field and and how to disguise those screen passes better.

It also more important to remember that Mason had the luxury of a dominate running game and defense. Two things joe cox lacked. I'm not certain at this stage that Mason is better.
