Coaches always take the elevator down. Our staff does as well. The elevator at our staff's end of the press box was working. The one at Arky's staffs end was not.
Did their staff not take the stairs?

Staffs have never taken stairs from the presser. Now when you get to the bottom after using the elevator there may be some stairs that have to be taken. I don't know but I do know every staff uses elevators from the press box to get down to the bottom of the West side of the stadium.

I read someone on /r/CFB who said the complete opposite. They said they've never seen an opposing staff take the elevator and that they always take the stairs

it was very apparent yesterday that we need some serious renovations to the stadium, especially the jumbotron

the clock didn't work, i could hardly hear the refs, i could barely hear the intro music, the side of the stadium i was on one of the lights blew out. can't we just renovate the damn thing already?

There may be stairs after the elevator but they are dead wrong on staffs not using the elevator. I know. I actually watch them get on the elevator. I have to hold the door for them out of and into the press box. AU has security staff who's specific job is to escort both staffs from the press box to the locker room and back. This includes an elevator trip to the main floor of the West side of the stadium. From that point I don't know about the visiting locker room but I do know the AU staff has to Usain Bolt it from half way around the West stands to their locker room behind the South End zone. That does include some stairs. It's logical to think the visiting coaches have to make the same run on the opposite end after exiting the elevator.

That explains what I saw when the Ark assistants came out after the lightning delay.

Usually the visiting team coaches run up the stadium stairs on the north end of the home side to approach the north end of the press box. When they came out after the lightning delay, they went to the stadium steps on the south end of the home side. I assume that was because the north elevator was still out of order?

At that point we were not going to risk pissing them off further by putting them on the North elevator again whether it was working or not when the lighting delay came.

I know that Arkansas fans probably think its intentional, but if the scoreboard and the elevator were on the same circuit breaker, it would have lost power when they reset the scoreboard.

Another thing that sucked was the bag line and how long it took for people to get in the stadium. Our clock and sound system is shite though, they have the money they need t renovate.

Couldnt hear when the ref tried to make a call and the seat backs that I paid 50 bucks for were fkn pathetic. Old, faded and cracked, while the lowers had brand new ones. Jay will be hearing from me about that

Me too. Everything was going great till after the delay and the bottom fell out.

Got our asses soaked. Even with my rain jacket. Good thing we brought a change of clothes in the car. Three hours with swamp arse in the car sucks.

It was hot, humid, rainy but I had a blast...

Yeah we are writing to Jacobs too. Have 8 seats together with seat backs. There were only 7 seat backs but they covered 8 seat spaces. We are on section 36 on the curve of the end zone. Guessing the seats are narrower there than in the rest of the stadium. Squeezing 8 adults into 7 spaces in that heat was horrible.

So frickin hot that one in our group got sick. It was farther to walk to the first aid station almost on the other side of the stadium than help them back to out to the tailgate tent. If you are going to schedule a 3 pm game in August, don't you think you need more first aid stations?

And the inefficient line to get in.

But besides that, had a great time!!

I would have loved for them to have been put on the North elevator and then be stuck again.

Then why do I see the staff escorted by security down the stairs and across the sidelines almost every game.
