Think of Herron as the future Tyler Harris. Like Harris, Herron may bring the ball down the court and hang around the perimeter one possession then he may be posting up in the paint the next possession.

So think of the 6'4 Heron as a 6'10 230lb player?

Michigan State just graduated a guy like that Brendon Dawson. He was a 3 year starter for them and had a lot of success playing the 4 despite being listed at 6'6.

So instead of saying a 6'7 player who got to 225lb can play like Sparty's 6'6 225lb player, you think we should put our 6'4 200LB FR in that role? Makes sense

No... Lang is a spot up shooter who needs to be running off of screens and such.

1- I suggested this as a depth/emergency option for mostly post defense not offense.

2- Malcolm Canada played post defense then PG/Wing on offense last year. No reason Lang can't be a spot up shooter and still give some post defense

3- Lang with some bulk and some inside game would be more valuable than just an outside shooter

Lang would be awkward at the 4 given his timidness and lack of aggression on offense. Can you see him flashing to the high post calling for the ball or setting picks and rolling to the bucket?

He's really playing too many minutes as is but we're so short handed we have no choice. His role needs to be coming off the bench with fresh legs and running of screens hitting open shots. IMO

And disregard Harris and Herons size I'm talking skill set. both thrive in the paint both finish well around the rim both can play outside or inside.

Harden is a good size comparison but skill wise Hardens a 2 guard IMO someone that can knock down shots and run the point.
