Sam Bradford.

Was also the OC for a three star out of Putnam City North. That three star may or may not have won the Heisman. Who has a bigger hand in QB development, the head coach or the OC?

Guess we'll see, as far as Sumlin is concerned. Kingsbury was the QB coach with him from 2010 through 2012.

Kingsbury was Sumlins video technician at first. People act like Kingsbury came to Sumlin as fully-formed OC.

Can someone give me some information regarding Sumlin. Which QBs was he directly involved in recruiting during his collegiate career. I realize Manziel was a Sherman signee. Who has Sumlin actually convinced to sign with his team? Keenum? And then going further back?
Again, how does this relate to developing a QB?

Sumlin has coached Drew Bledsoe, Drew Brees, Jason White, Sam Bradford, Case Keenum and Johnny Manziel.
That's not just luck. No one is that lucky. If that's luck then Sumlin doesn't need to coach, he can just go buy Powerball tickets. Fact is, the guy is a very talented coach.

Harry, get your head in the game...we aren't talking about JFF

I'd argue Malzahn due to his qbs nfl success

He was actually the WR and TE coach at Purdue and OU, respectively.. The only QB's you should mention with Sumlin are Keenum and Manziel.
For me, the jury is still out on Sumlin. Going 8-4 before Duke last year with JFF, Evans, Matthews was quite a disappointment. The past two stops, he's inherited his talent and I'm pretty interested to see how he does this year with more of his own guys.
I'm sure none of that made sense to Aggies and I'm about to get berated.

this is where FANS get confused, Listen up, the level at which the team you cheer for plays at has no direct relation to the football knowledge of said fan. Same could be said for the fan that has much knowledge about the game of football but the team he cheers for sucks balls. That is all carry on with the idiocy of this thread.

He is the best at designing a system that can produce monstrous numbers with almost any decently talented QB. Far as QB development, absolutely not. Manziel is still trying to get used to the huddle, some drops, and and other things that should be basic for a rookie QB in the NFL.

And Rosenbach too correct? I know he Qb'd with arizona cardinals for a season or two. I'd say he's been pretty fortunate with those talents but while at Houston I saw what he did with a freshamn QB David Piland. But this being the rant, nobody is going to give credit where it's due. I always looked forward to his call in show on 1560. The guy can coach IMO. He knows how to put the qb and receivers in positions to make plays.

Want to know why Kenny Hill or Kyle Allen — or both — will be successful directing the Aggies’ offense this fall? Because Sumlin did it with Manziel.
He did it with Keenum before him and Sam Bradford at Oklahoma before him.
Kevin Sumlin's track record points to continued success without Johnny Manziel

Dameyune Craig has the exact same title as Sumlin had when he was at Oklahoma when Bradford played.

Sumlin was co-offensive coordinator.
Look, you all can try to poke holes in his ability as a head coach and developer, but FACT is, he has never finished below 13th in the nation in total offense. How do you explain that?

Sumlin was co-offensive coordinator.
Exactly what responsibility do you think he had as the co-OC/WR coach? You think he was the one calling plays at OU?
