with the creation of the secn, it looks like the revenue for each sec member will increase exponentially. with that said, what do yall believe the possibility will be that the other school will seek legislation to achieve some kind of revenue equity for state universities. there are actually some nimrods from Clemson saying this will be pursued by clemmers in the state house in Columbia. can this happen?

Florida has always had a money advantage on FSU ,so this wouldn't change a thing. Legislation isn't going to do sh!t in our state.

Won't happen with us. Georgia Tech may be the better school, but we control the state politics by far. They tried as hard as their little hearts could to keep us from getting an engineering program and they spent a fair amount of money to do that and the board of regents told them to shove it.

Clemson has actually set a precedent for this.
When the Williams-Brice family bequeathed $20 million to SCAR in '70, Strom Thurmond interceded and had it split between the two schools.
SCAR fought it but was going to lose ... until Paul Dietzel stepped in and flew to Washington and met with Strom agreeing to let the division of the money take place if the money would be directed to the athletic department rather than the educational fund.
Strom had made the power move on Clemson's behalf using a tax law ... but he thought his people might lose the court battle on a technicality so he was willing to deal.
Strom worked his magic no taxes were paid on either half, and we used our half to build the West Upper Deck and then renamed the stadium Williams-Brice.
I'm not sure what the taterheads did with their half of the money they stole.

Even if they pursue it, could they prevail? Clemson couldn't outvote USCe. Same for UK, UGA, and UF. The only team that should be worried about anything like that would be aTm with the other Big 12 Texas schools ganging up on them in the state legislature. But Texas still has more revenue and a larger endowment. Any revenue sharing statute would hurt Texas more than help and be a huge embarrassment to them.

My guess is that FSU will build more classrooms in/near their stadium so that they can steal more money from the taxpayers of FL.

I have read that the gap will be so large that the other Power 5 conferences will push for overall revenue sharing.
In honesty we don't know. College football recently "stabalized" at around $20 million per team per year. If the SEC blows past that mark it may get another round of realignment started.
