Every single one should be legal, and rational education on their effects increased. This thread always ends the same way so I doubt I'll even open it again, but the main issue is that drugs are already really easy to get and use. People who want to do drugs already use them. Anyone who thinks legality would effect usage rates much either doesn't know the facts or lives a very sheltered life. Bringing drugs out into the open would make treatment easier and reduce drug-related crime.

all drugs should be decriminalized, but some shouldn't be legal

This is incredibly short-sighted. Anyone who thinks that drugs are 'easy to get' and usage would not increase if made legal is crazy or just being self-serving.

Honestly. I can't understand how society got so borked we are even seriously discussing this.

I agree. I have never used drugs of any kind and I would not if they became legal.

I favor the legalization of all drugs, recreational or not. They should be taxed and the subsequent revenue should be used to house the burnt-out shells of those who fry their brains (at least they won't be able to reproduce) and to bury those who overdose.

The silly "war on drugs" that only serves as a societal "no" to drug legalization has never been effective and has been cost prohibitive. There are as many burnt-out shells and overdoses now as there would be if drugs are ever legalized. Actually, I think the situation will get worse if they're not legalized.

Look at Mexico. During the Bush administrations, Mexico wanted to legalize most drugs. The crime associated with illegal drugs was about to swamp that nation.

The Bush administration went bonkers and pressured Mexico into keeping drugs illegal. Subsequently, Mexico has descended into a nation where drug lords rule and crime is off the charts. Is that in our future?
