yep. they came into Williams brice that Thursday night no. 4 and jeaven snead was the media darling and clear Heisman favorite (according to the media nimrods). we made all that go away. im not sure, but I think Garcia had a little buzz goin into the game.

My last semester at Ole Miss, I skipped class the last three days that week to make the drive through Atlanta to Columbia for the game. I've been to every SEC stadium except two, and that Thursday night crowd was the most electric I've ever seen, and it wasn't even sold out. Sandstorm still rustles my jimmies to this day 6 years later.

Lately, our bagmen have been killin' it.
But damn any kid in Memphis who gets sucked in by DeVinner we don't have a chance with. Dude wrote a FB post a year or two ago, saying how much he hated UT, dogging our coaches, but then turned around and said he would never ever steer a kid away just because of his own hate (guess, he wanted to leave things open for the bagmen - cuz it's bizness ). Fortunately, for us parents in Memphis are on to him but that guy takes advantage of those who are without adult guidance. Overall tho' he's lost a lot of influence.

Pls

Very similar to the self fluffing y'all have done since that bowl game domination over GT.
Y'all beat GT.
We beat Rice.
The majority of both teams fans (OM/MSU) automatically think they're making a run to Atlanta.

We played like rusty a-hole in the bowl game.
Who gives a frick. We are a different team than last year, depth-wise. Bottom line.

Lsu beat the sec champion in a blowout and am I confused or didn't Auburn beat the hell out of Missouri. If you want to play that game.

This is the year the 2013 recruiting class is gonna pay off for Ole Miss. They have super sophomores rather than big headed freshmen. I'm glad we got You all last year instead of this year to be honest

Choad McShay was all over him, yes. But I don't remember him being a "front-runner" at any point. I know I'm splitting hairs and honestly it's irrelevant bc he spray-shite all over his bed in 09. I've never seen a QB regress like that.

According to this logic and all the hype UF fans are giving themselves, we are all really lucky Georgia Southern isnt in the SEC

I'm not into predictions but we should absolutely be a better football team.
There are people at several different positions who will without a doubt help us and they are relatively unknown to outsiders.
Anthony Alford, Fadol Brown, Jordan Wilkins, Marquis Haynes, and Eugene Brazley are a few that redshirted last year and will have roles this year.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for the Rebs to finish high in the West this year.
LSU is probably going to fall off a bit with all of their losses, A&M has lost virtually every star player they had the past 2 years, Arkansas is a joke in shoulder pads, and both Alabama & Auburn are missing some big pieces from a year ago.
I do think Mississippi State might have an even BETTER year, but then again, they have Dan Mullen as a coach, and he's the sorriest son of a bitch to coach against ranked opponents I've ever seen. That #WeBelieve game was the hardest I've ever chuckled in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
In summation, a "down" west, a third year coach on the rise, elite talent on both sides of the ball, and a very favorable schedule which dodges every hard opponent in the East is reason for optimism.
My only gripe with Ole Miss is I think Bo Wallace is a very overrated quarterback, with a less than stellar skill-set. Mind you, I think Dak Prescott is the best QB in the SEC this year.

In my opinion, this year's Ole Miss squad will be a lot like 2009. A lot of high expectations at the beginning of the season, with a mediocre finish.

quote:It's rare that you see a team just bend over and take it from a team the way that Mizzou did for Auburn that day. That was pathetic. Auburn even tried to fumble the game away, but Mizzou had to go to great lengths to prove that they're not ready for the SEC just yet.
didn't Auburn beat the hell out of Missouri
